Edinburgh Monarchs Speedway

Here at Edinburgh Euro Hostel we are big supporters of the Edinburgh Monarchs, our local Premier League Speedway team. They had a bit of a dodgy year in 2007, finishing 13th, but are looking forward to the 2008 season.

This year sees 24 year old American, Ryan Fisher join the team after coming out of the 2007 Belle Vue Elite League line up. With Derek Sneddon, the captain, as the "old man" of the team at just 25, we can expect to see some great racing as each of the guys try and lift those averages. Welcome also to young Swede, Thomas Jonasson and Aussie, Aaron Summers.

When: Friday nights- Tapes up at 7.30pm
Where: Armadale Stadium (about 20 miles), 2 Bathgate Road, EH48 2PD
How: Buses depart from Waterloo Place (Princes Street) every Friday at 6.30pm.
