Ghost Tours

Mercat Tours was founded in 1985 by a group of Edinburgh history teachers who were determined that their tours would tell the true story of the city's past.

From the very start, the Royal Mile tour of Ghosts and Ghouls proved very popular. Since then, the portfolio has expanded to include the most extensive underground Edinburgh Ghost tours as well as tours abroad to the battlefields of the First and Second World Wars.
