Horse racing in Glasgow

HAMILTON PARK RACECOURSE

The Hamilton Park Racecourse is just ten miles south of Glasgow. Hamilton has had a long tradition of horse racing, traced as far back as 1782. The present racecourse opened in 1926 and is famous for its summer evening fixtures, particularly the reknowned Saints and Sinners Charity race in mid June.

AYR RACECOURSE

Scotland's only Grade one racecourse, home of the Coral Scottish Grand National and the totesport Ayr Gold Cup. Ayr is only a short train ride from Glasgow and there is a regular bus service to the racecourse.
