Gigs at The Barrowlands
The Glasgow Barrowlands is one of the World's best and most loved concert venues, with a sensational atmosphere.
One of Glasgow's Favourite Institutions..
Originally established in 1934, The Barrowland building includes large street-level halls used for the weekend markets, with a sizeable weatherproof dance hall above. The front of the building is decorated with a distinctive animated neon sign, bearing its name.
Although its capacity is relatively humble by today's standards, accommodating around 1900 people, the Barrowlands certainly makes up for this in terms of its exceptional acoustics and an electrifying atmosphere!
The Glasgow Barrowlands has attracted an endless line-up of top-name international acts including David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Blondie, Blur, Eminem, REM, U2, Oasis, The Flaming Lips, New Order, and Radio Head amongst others.
