Hampden Park Concerts
Hampden Park is home to Scotland's National Football Team and local club Queen's Park, in addition to hosting an array of concerts, including Tina Turner, Bon Jovi, Robbie Williams, Eminem, U2, Oasis and The Rolling Stones!
Hampden has a long and distinguished history as the home of the Scottish National Team since it first played host to them in 1903. It is also the home of Queen's Park F.C., the 'grandfathers' of Scottish Football. A tour of Hampden Park allows you to see how a truly world-class stadium, with a seating capacity of 52,000, operates on a daily basis.
Memorable Matches...
Hampden Park hosted the famous 1960 European Cup final between Real Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt, where over 130,000 people watched Real Madrid win 7-3. The 1975/76 final of was also held at Hampden, when FC Bayern Munich defeated AS Saint-Etienne. Real Madrid were victorious when Hampden Park hosted the final of the UEFA Champions League in 2002, defeating Bayer Leverkusen.
Rugby union has also been played at the ground since its renovation, including a group game in the 1999 World Cup between defending champions South Africa and Uruguay.
Hampden Park has been put forward to host events at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, should Glasgow's bid be successful.

Getting There...
Hampden is best reached by train from Glasgow Central Station, which is just a 2 minute walk from Euro Hostel. The stadium is a 5 minute walk from Mount Florida Station & Kings Park Station which you can get from Central Station. If you do choose to walk, it will take about 45 minutes!
