Newcastle Diamonds Speedway

The Newcastle Diamonds are household names around these parts and deservedly so. Newcastle's Premier League Speedway team have a long and illustrious history with some great results in the past. 1st in the league only 5 years ago is a recent highlight.

Leading the crew this year is Dane Jonas Raun with Czeck Josef Franc and hard-charging Aussie, Christian Henry. They'll need some good back-up from the rest of the team but things are shaping up for a good year.

Because the track is so close to town, crowds are always big when the Diamonds race. A Bar and Restaurant right on the straight with behind glass viewing makes for a great night out.

When: Sundays- Tapes up at 6.30pm
Where: Newcastle Stadium, Fossway, Byker NE6 2XJ.
How: Buses from Central Station regularly or £5 from the station in a cab.
