George Square

Named after King George III, George Square is Glasgow's civic square in the heart of the city. Dating back to 1781, the square has historically been the scene of rallys, political demonstrations, celebrations, riots, ceremonies, parades and the odd concert. It is now home to Glasgow's famous winter festival. the square has played host to some pf the world's greatest artists including Deacon Blue and Paolo Nutini.
