£10,000 for the NSPCC in 2010 Guaranteed

Euro Hostels are set to embark on a new partnership with the NSPCC's ChildLine service. ChildLine is the UK's free helpline for children in distress or danger. Trained volunteers are on hand to provide advice and support, by phone and online, 24 hours a day. The NSPCC's vision is to be there for every child. With this in mind, Euro-Hostel pledges to help the NSPCC get one step closer to doing this, by raising vital funds to support the ChildLine service.

Not only will we be collecting ‘loose change' at reception and in our Osmosis Bar all year, we are committing to a number of sponsored fundraising events throughout 2010. We have ‘guaranteed' the £10k figure because if our fundraising efforts come up short... we will pay the balance ourselves.

The first of our efforts will be the Women's 10k Run in Glasgow starting at Bellahouston Park on May 9. We have 10 very keen (but not so fit) Euro Hostel crew running this event and raising vital funds for the NSPCC's ChildLine. The boys are also committed to run the Great Scottish Run in September as well.

We will also have a number of charity events in our award-winning Osmosis Bar throughout the year as well as seizing every opportunity to raise money from other events. We don't just want to raise the £10k; we want to exceed that by as much as possible.

* The National Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children was originally founded in London in 1884. Since it's formation, the Society has helped over 10 million children towards having a normal, happy childhood. In 08/09 alone they raised and spent over £157 million towards saving children from distress or danger.
