Top snooker stars set to play in World Open in Glasgow
Snooker's World Open returns to Glasgow later this month and hostels in Glasgow may well be the ideal place to stay between sessions.
The competition brings the world's finest players to the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, battling it out between September 18th and 26th to be crowned champion.
Eight of the world's top 10 players, including Ronnie O'Sullivan, Mark Williams and Glaswegian Stephen Maguire, will play in the reformatted event.
Every match will consist of only five frames and winners will go through to a random draw in the next round. The final of the competition will be a best of nine frames.
Scotsman and seven-times World Championship winner Stephen Hendry said how he is looking forward to taking part.
"It's the one tournament we have in Scotland, and with the new format there's no doubt it's going to be exciting."
Though tickets for the evening session of the final are sold out, there is plenty of availability for other days during the event with prices ranging between £15 and £25.
