Hip hop dance epic performed in Newcastle

People staying in city centre accommodation in Newcastle can bear witness to a mind-blowing hip hop dance performance in December.

The Aftermath/Tribal Assembly production from Newcastle's world-renowned B-Boys, the Bad Taste Cru, brings together two incredible hip hop performances in an epic one-hour show.

Performed at Newcastle's prestigious Dance City, a venue and training academy for dancers of all kinds, Aftermath/Tribal Assembly draws heavy influences from the Bad Taste Cru's experiences growing up in Omagh, Northern Ireland.

Following four boys struggle to live following the devastation of a terrorist attack, Aftermath was the first ever breakdance piece to be commissioned by the Place Prize for Dance in 2010.

Brought to a theatre for the first time, the second part of the performance, Tribal Assembly, brings together four entirely different characters in a power struggle of social stereotypes.

Bad Taste Cru's Aftermath/Tribal Assembly is performed at Dance City on Saturday December 3rd.

The show starts at 8pm and tickets are priced at £12 for adults and £8 for concessions.
