Teenage comedy comes to Newcastle theatre
A brilliant comedy play is returning to the Live Theatre in Newcastle, giving guests of Newcastle hostels another chance to see the laugh-out-loud production about an unfortunate 14-year-old girl.
Clumsy, fat and friendless, Donna is everything a teenage girl doesn't want to be.
She's dull, wears glasses and would love the Beautiful South if she'd heard of them.
Starring well-known Geordie comedian Paula Penman as Donna, the play centres on the trials and tribulations of Donna's adolescence.
As she struggles to juggle a new school project which has the agonizing prospect of presenting in front of the entire school dangling at the end of it, life is made all the more difficult for Donna because of her debilitating crush on the school heartthrob.
When her feckless mother goes AWOL her life begins to fall apart. Can the disco that lives on in her heart survive?
Donna Disco is presented by Chicken Pox Fox Productions and Live Theatre.
It runs from Tuesday January 17th until Saturday January 21st. Shows start at 8pm and tickets are priced at £10 or £8 for concessions.
