Mogwai tickets selling fast

People staying in city centre accommodation in Glasgow should hurry to snap up the last few tickets to see legendary Glaswegian band Mogwai.

The post-rock outfit are gearing up to play a home gig at the infamous Barrowlands venue on Gallowgate and tickets are selling fast.

Having released seven albums since the band began their career back in 1995, the group have garnered a cultish following as pioneers of the post-rock genre.

Recorded at Chem19 Studios in Hamilton, Mogwai's latest album, 'Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will', was released in February this year.

The album famously includes a track called 'You're Lionel Ritchie', after the band's inebriated guitarist Stuart Braithwaite mumbled the words when he bumped into the singer in an airport.

Mogwai play at Barrowland Ballroom on Thursday December 22nd. Tickets are priced at £20 plus booking fee and doors open at 7pm.

Those aged 14 to 16 are welcome to attend the gig, but must be accompanied by an adult.
