Aviva Series brings athletics back to Glasgow

Athletics fans are racing to hostels in Glasgow in January when the Aviva International Match returns to the city as part of the 2012 Aviva Series.

Some of the best athletes in Britain will compete with teams from across the globe in what is a unique athletics competition that has been held at Kelvin Hall in Glasgow since 2003.

The competition will be the first chance that the sports stars have to test their credentials in Britain next year, ahead of the eagerly anticipated London 2012 Olympics.

With a prestigious trophy presentation ceremony at the end of the competition, the event brings great entertainment for people of all ages, while a simulator ride operated by the event sponsor Alfa Romeo will give visitors a virtual spin in a sports car.

The Aviva International Match takes place at the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow on Saturday January 28th. Tickets cost £18 and £15 for adults and £10 for concessions.
