Broadcaster Andy Kershaw heads to The Arches

Andy Kershaw is an internationally renowned broadcaster, news journalist and music lover and, having just had his autobiography published, is heading to The Arches for an evening discussing it in front of Glasgow hostel guests.

Throughout a wondrous career, Andy spent 15 years working as a DJ at Radio One, before moving to Radio 3 in 2001.

He has also worked as a driver and roadie for Billy Bragg and was the first person to make a documentary about North Korea for Channel 4 when he secretly filmed from inside the country.

It is fair to say that his interesting life has given him a lot of fascinating things to write about in his autobiography, No Off Switch, which he will talk about during the evening in an interview with fellow journalist Ruth Pitt.

Discussing the book, Stephen Fry said: "Throughout this dizzyingly paced and often wildly hilarious book he brings alive his matchless career, and the cultural life of a Britain that seems to be vanishing."

The Arches presents An Evening with Andy Kershaw on Tuesday February 28th.  Tickets cost £15 plus booking fee and doors open at 7.30pm.
