Elvis Costello's Spinning Songbook heads to the SECC

The Irish superstar Elvis Costello is heading to the SECC in May, with fans of the rocker booking hostels in Glasgow to take part in his interactive Revolver Tour.

Costello, who was born Declan MacManus, will open his show with the Imposters with a blast of five uninterrupted songs to get the crowd rocking and rolling.

After they have warmed up the stage, however, things will take a very different spin.

Audience members will be invited to roll the Spectacular Spinning Songbook, a huge contraption that will determine which song from the Costello back catalogue will be played next.

The effect is a different show every time, with big hitters such as Shipbuilding and God Give Me Strength spinning alongside other hidden gems that span his career.

Elvis Costello brings The Revolver Tour to the Clyde Auditorium at the SECC on Friday May 11th at 8pm. Tickets are still available priced at £36.50 plus booking fee.
