Photography exhibition opens door on Glasgow art world
A brand new photography exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art is set to open this week, offering people staying in hostels in Glasgow a rare and stunning view of the Scottish city.
Alan Dimmick: Photographs from the last 15 years of Contemporary Art in Scotland will display more than 300 photographs going back to the late nineties that chart events that have helped make Glasgow's art scene what it is today.
Dimmick has a knack of capturing people and places and this collection of photographs is a great time capsule documenting the personalities and events that have set the scene on what is now one of the world's most reputable cities when it comes to contemporary art.
Opening up his archive to the public, the Glasgow-based photographer lifts the lid on art is Glasgow while also offering a vast array of images which are art in their own right.
Alan Dimmick: Photographs from the last 15 years of Contemporary Art in Scotland runs at the Museum of Modern Art in Royal Exchange Square from February 17th until May 13th.
Entrance is free and the exhibition is suitable for people of all ages.
