New world tour has Roxette on a Joyride to the SECC

Roxette are back on tour again and are heading past hostels in Glasgow on their way to a show at the SECC in July.

The Swedish pop rock superstars burst onto the scene more than 25 years ago and for many, their tracks still define a generation.

Hits like The Look and Listen To Your Heart released in 1989 and It Must Have Been Love (1990) saw the duo catapulted to stardrom and embark on their first world tour back in 1991 after releasing the album Joyride.

Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle went on to sell more than 75 million records around the world, and a come back is now underway.

Having overcome surgery on a brain tumour in 2002, Marie could easily have hung up her microphone, but she and Per are not finished yet and a new world tour in 2012 beckons.

Roxette play at the Glasgow SECC on Tuesday July 3rd. Tickets cost £35 plus booking fee and doors open at 7pm.
