New Writing Festival returns to the Live Theatre

Live Theatre's Fuses: New Writing Festival makes it eagerly-awaited return in March, with a great programme of events to entertain anyone staying in a hostel in Newcastle.

The biennial festival is a celebration of the talented writers, theatre makers and artists in Newcastle and across the country and brings them together in an eclectic programme of events.

Workshops, performances, theatre productions, talks, concerts, spoken word and more are included in the line-up of events, all held at the fabulous contemporary theatre on the city's iconic Quayside.

Highlights of the festival include PLAYlist, an event which sees playwrights challenged to devise a play inspired by a song by a musician from their local region and the Mike Kenny Playwriting Workshop which will see the Oliver Award-winner dish out his advice to aspiring writers.

Fuse: New Writing Festival runs at the Live Theatre from March 9th until March 17th. Tickets cost £5 per event; with a buy four get one free deal running. Festival passes are also available for £70.
