Florence, or Firenze as it is known in Italian, is the capital of the Tuscany region of Italy.  When you visit be sure to visit the Duomo, the stunning domed cathedral in the centre of the city.  Florence boasts some very notable old residents, including Leonardo Da Vinci and Michaelangelo so it's no wonder it is well known for its art and architecture.
