Shopping in Newcastle


Newcastle Upon Tyne has a wide range of shops and shopping centres offering everything from designer wear to your favourite high street fashions. As a start, you’ll find Princess Square has of exclusive designer brands while at Grainger Street and Market Street you can find Karen Millen, All Saints and Oasis. And then of course thre’s the Metro Centre – one of the world’s biggest centre; the Metro Centre is shopping heaven.

Shopping at Eldon Square
Considered to be one of the leading shopping centres in Europe, Eldon Square comprises of over 140 stores including some of the most popular department stores, such as Fenwick and John Lewis. Set right in the centre of Newcastle Upon Tyne, Eldon Square offers shoppers a tremendous choice. Eldon Square is open from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6pm, except on Thursdays when it’s open until 8pm, and on Sundays 
from 11am until 5pm.

Shopping at Eldon Garden
Next to Eldon Square is Eldon Garden shopping centre which houses all the designer brands and top fashion labels as well as interior designers, jewellery and home appliances. The stylist setting of Eldon Garden also comes with an opportunity to pamper yourself as it has a beauty salon, two hair salons and three eateries.

Shopping at Monument Mall
A four storey arcade situated right in the heart of the town next to Grey's Monument, Monument Mall is modern enough to suit all your shopping requirements, while its design and glass dome, are reminiscent of an older Newcastle Upon Tyne. Shops like TK Maxx can be found here, ideal for people on the prowl for a great bargain.

Shopping at Metro Centre, Gateshead
One of the largest shopping centres in Europe, the Metro Centre in Gateshead is unrivaled for its shopping and leisure opportunities. It houses a mixture of high-street brand names, department stores and speciality shops. It also has an 11-screen cinema, an indoor theme park with a roller coaster, as well as a variety of restaurants and bars. You could spend a week at the Metro Centre and not see the same thing twice.
