Glasgow's Bard in the Botanics is 'perfect' for summer

People looking for an evening of summer entertainment prior to their stay in Glasgow hostels could find Bard in the Botanics an ideal choice.

The annual outdoor Shakespeare festival, which runs until the end of July, is the only event of its kind in Scotland, offering people the rare chance to see some of William Shakespeare's finest works performed in the open air.

Perhaps even more exciting is the fact that all performances take place in the historic surroundings of the city's Botanic Gardens.

The event has been a hit with the public as well as critics, with the Sunday Herald describing it as "the perfect way to enjoy a summer's evening".

The Scotsman states that the audience "can hardly fail to have a good time".

Among the plays to be performed are Twelfth Night and Titus Andronicus.

Bard in the Botanics is a travelling company, which has performed all over the world in outdoor venues.
