Tickets for Edinburgh fireworks display now on sale

People staying in Edinburgh hostels at the end of the city's International Festival will see the skies light up during the Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert 2010.

Those wishing to get as close as possible to the action are now able to buy tickets to the event, which takes place on September 5th.

By visiting the Edinburgh International Festival website, fireworks enthusiasts will be able to purchase tickets to the 45 minute display, during which time they will also be treated with live music and "fireworks wizardry".

The Scottish Chamber Orchestra will be providing a movie-themed score which will accompany the 10,000 fireworks that are due to be set off in the Princess Street Gardens.

Conductor Clark Rundell will be playing extracts from films such as On the Waterfront, Marnie and Kings Row.

Tickets cost £11 and can either be purchased online or in person at The Hub.

The Edinburgh International Festival is due to take place from August 13th to September 5th.
