Edinburgh visitors enjoy Rolling Haggis

Adventure enthusiasts currently backpacking in Edinburgh may be interested in having a go at Rolling Haggis.

Located in the Tweed Valley just 26 miles from city centre accommodation in Edinburgh, Rolling Haggis is Scotland's new "thrilling" zorbing run.

For those who are unfamiliar, zorbing involves getting inside a giant bubble and rolling down a hill inside it.

The new Rolling Haggis location sees visitors reach speeds of up to 40mph, with two options available.

Either you can have a go in the Harness Haggis, where two people are strapped inside a 3.5m ball and then proceed down the hill, or the Hydro Haggis, where you and a friend are not strapped in and the ball is filled with 20 litres of water.

It should be noted however that because of the nature of the ride, there are a number of restrictions as to who can take part, so those looking to go should check beforehand that they are eligible to ride.

The first ever zorbing facility was established by Andrew and David Akers in Rotorua in New Zealand.
