2010 Footfest runs through August
Newcastle hostels could provide the ideal place for people to rest-up before hitting 2010 Footfest.
With attendees likely to work up a pretty serious sweat while out and about in Northumberland, it is essential that a good night's sleep is enjoyed both before and after each day's activities.
On offer at this year's event is Nordic walking, geo trailing, mountain biking and hawk walking. Bush tucker trails and orienteering are even available.
All events, which take place in Kielder Water & Forest Park and Northumberland National Park, are overseen by experts and local guides. This means that people can not only enjoy great activities, but also learn a thing or two along the way.
For those who are travelling long distances in order to get to the event, a night stopping over in Newcastle could be the perfect way to either start or finish the break in the Northumberland countryside.
All those attending should ensure they take appropriate walking gear.
