Glasgow to host whisky event

Glasgow hostels could provide whisky lovers with the ideal place to rest their heads following a dram or two.

The city is set to host Whisky Live Glasgow on September 11th, offering lovers of the classic drink the opportunity to try a variety of tipples.

It is not just about the palate, however, with the show very much focussed on teaching visitors all about the famed favourite.

The official website states: "Whisky Live Glasgow heads back to its roots with its focus on education, education, education.

"With more Masterclass rooms, a whisky VIP room, the whisky antiques roadshow and the whisky collectors' corner, Whisky Live Glasgow provides the very heart of whisky excellence."

Supported by the UK's largest independent retailer the Whisky Shop, punters can be sure to find a bottle that most suits their taste.

Food will also be available at the event, so visitors need not worry about the effects of too much whisky on an empty stomach.
