Archery World Cup Final 2010 to take place in Edinburgh

Hostels in Edinburgh could hit the spot for people attending the Archery World Cup Final this September.

Set to take place from the 18th to the 19th, the final will welcome the world's finest archers to pit their wits against one another to be crowned World Champion.

The event is the culmination of four qualifying events, meaning that those who have made it this far really are the best there is.

Two disciplines will be contested – Compound and Recurve – with medals being awarded for a men-only event, a women-only event and a mixed event.

Admission is free for all those interested in watching the spectacle and admiring the participants' accuracy.

For those not content with simply watching the world's finest, the competition organisers will also be running a selection of 'have a go' sessions, where "budding Robin Hoods" can see if they have what it takes.

These sessions will be run by members of the Scottish Archery Association.
