Film-goers set to descend on Glasgow in February for annual festival
Cinema-lovers could stay in Glasgow hostels early next year and attend the city's film festival, which provides an annual buffet of different flicks.
The seventh festival will take place across many venues in the city between February 17th and 27th, featuring an array of films from those submitted by amateur directors to top auteurs.
Though this year's line-up is not announced until January 19th, people can get cheaper tickets through booking soon.
For those who want to pay early, a five-film pass will cost £25, a ten-film pass £45 and a 20-film pass £80. After 30,000 people visited the event in 2010, film-lovers are advised to take advantage now.
Reviewing the festival and the films on show last year, Alistair Harkness of The Scotsman compared the premiere of British flick Down Terrace to the festival itself.
"Brilliantly performed, and rich in detail, it's the sort of low-budget British production that is all too rare these days: something that feels effortless and is effortlessly entertaining – much like the festival itself," he wrote.
