Tim Vine brings Joke-amotive tour to one-line lovers in Newcastle

King of the one-liners Tim Vine will be heading to the north-east to perform his new show next April, and fans could stay in Newcastle hostels after watching him perform.

The comic's Joke-amotive tour will see him head around the UK over the coming months including a gig at the Journal Tyne Theatre in Newcastle on April 19th.

Vine has earned a reputation over the years for performing jokes with a series of puns and one-liners.

In 2004 he broke the world record for the number of jokes told in an hour – 499 – before Anthony Lehman told 549 in the same time a year later.

Earlier this year, Vine won joke of the year at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with:

"I've just been on a once-in-a-lifetime holiday. I'll tell you what, never again."

Forty-four of his Joke-amotive tour dates sold out earlier this year, prompting him to arrange more for 2011.

Tickets are still available priced at £17.
