Lee Evans heads to Newcastle as part of 50-night Roadrunner tour

Lee Evans will be heading to the north-east of England next year as part of an extraordinary 50-night tour and fans could stay in Newcastle hostels after attending the show.

The comic's Roadrunner tour will be at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle from October 21st to 23rd next year, trying to break records previously set by the comic in 2008.

He sold out over 50 nights for his Big tour, with more than 500,000 people estimated to have seen him perform live.

With gigs at several big arenas over the coming year, including in Newcastle, Evans will be hoping to better his previous record on his latest tour.

Tickets for his earlier shows went on sale last Friday (October 15th) and all 200,000 sold out that day, worth around £7 million.

He has regularly featured at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and won the prestigious Perrier award in 1993.

Tickets for his shows in Newcastle are £30.
