Sean Lock takes his Lockipedia tour to Newcastle for two nights this November

Comedian Sean Lock will be taking his tour to the north-east for two nights next month and those wishing to attend could stay in Newcastle hostels.

Lock has found fame through years of stand-up comedy and several television appearances, including stints on panel shows Have I Got News For You, They Think It's All Over and 8 out of 10 Cats.

Lockipedia, his current tour, will see him heading up and down the country between now and Christmas, stopping off at venues including the Journal Tyne Theatre in Newcastle on November 4th and 5th.

Reviewing his performance at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford, Michael Purton wrote for newsshopper.co.uk that the lack of songs and gimmicks makes his show a success.

"It is simply Lock on stage on his own and with his superbly surreal wit, masterful movements and likeability, the man alone is a recipe for comedy perfection," he said.

Tickets for each night are priced at £17.50.
