Kings of Leon announce plans to head to Edinburgh in 2011

Edinburgh hostels could be the ideal choice of accommodation for fans of the Kings of Leon, who will be playing in the city next year.

Fans of the American rock band may like to catch them in Edinburgh when they play at the Murrayfield Stadium on June 26th 2011.

The Sex on Fire singers will play tracks from their latest album, Come Around Sundown, which was released on October 18th, as well as hits from their four-album back catalogue.

This will be the band's largest UK solo tour. They have previously performed at Glastonbury in 2008 and at Reading and Leeds last year.

Tickets will be on sale from November 3rd, which gives fans plenty of time to purchase them and book a stay in an Edinburgh hostel.

The band played an intimate gig for BBC Radio 1 on October 27th, which 100 guests attended.

Amanda and Jessica, both 23, attended the gig and told BBC Newsbeat: "Over the moon. Awesome, best gig ever. The best band in the whole world."
