LCD Soundsystem bring strengthened live repertoire to Glasgow

Budget Glasgow hostels could provide ideal accommodation for fans of dance-punk band LCD Soundsystem, who will be performing in the city later this month.

James Murphy and his seven band members bring their electro beats to the Barrowland Ballroom on November 17th and 18th as part of a world tour that will seem them head to Australia and New Zealand early next year.

Murphy has released three albums under the LCD Soundsystem stage name, with the most recent, This Is Happening, topping the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart in the US after hitting the shelves earlier this year.

The group have also been receiving excellent reviews for their live performances. Adam Graham, writing for detnews.com, said that the crowd's pent up anticipation at a recent gig was justified.

"It had been more than three years since the Brooklyn dance rock outfit last played Detroit. In the time since, it has earned its rep as one of the best party bands in music today, rocking all the major American festivals and significantly strengthening its live repertoire," he wrote.

Those wishing to see the band live in Glasgow can buy tickets for £21.50.
