Scottish indie group on View in Bathsgate later this month

Indie music fans could stay in Edinburgh hostels later this month and see Scottish band The View play material from their upcoming album.

The Dundee five-piece will be touring the UK between now and Christmas and will be stopping off for an intimate gig at Room At The Top in Bathgate on November 16th.

Their third album is due for release early next year, but fans could get a sneak preview by heading along to the performance and then retiring to an Edinburgh hostel room.

Previous records have proved to be popular, with debut album Hats Off To The Buskers reaching number one in the UK charts.

Reviewing the album for the BBC, Matt Humphreys wrote that the band's tracks had plenty of charm.

"They may lack the punch and poeticism of their peers, but when they stop trying so hard The View have a robust charm all of their own," he wrote.

Tickets for the show are £10 plus a booking fee.
