Roxy Music return to the UK's live music scene with gig in Newcastle

Roxy Music will be heading to the north-east early next year as part of their latest tour of the UK and fans of the group could stay in Newcastle hostels and head along.

The city's Metro Radio Arena will be hosting the show on January 25th as the group perform classic songs such as Love is the Drug and Jealous Guy in front of their fans.

The For Your Pleasure tour will then move onto Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham along with Nottingham and London, after the group had toured the rest of the world last summer.

Robert Spellman, reviewing a gig Roxy Music performed at the Lovebox festival in July, told the Daily Express that "synthesisers filled the night air".

He added: "Of the earlier material, Virginia Plain has more of the original crunch and along with Love Is The Drug, an encore of 1976 Ferry solo hit Let's Stick Together and Roxy anthem Do The Strand a splendid evening ends on a party note."

Tickets for the show in Newcastle begin at £40 each.
