Frank Turner fans flock to Glasgow for December show

People looking to see Frank Turner in concert could book into Glasgow hostels and see the singer perform a gig in the city later this week.

The punk and folk musician will be entertaining cities across the UK in the next couple of weeks and with plenty of things to see, Glasgow could be the ideal destination for those who enjoy his music.

Turner's December 2nd gig at the O2 ABC in the city will see him sing his solo work produced in the years after he left previous band Million Dead.

He released three albums between 2007 and 2008, but his latest record, Poetry of the Deed, has launched him into the mainstream music scene.

Stephanie Burkett, reviewing the album for the BBC, said that the album is his best work to date.

She wrote: "Poetry of the Deed is a superb record that should shine a light on Turner not only as a brave new and, most importantly, thoroughly unmanufactured talent in the murky waters of the British singer-songwriter, but as a guy with a guitar slung over his back who can command venues from living rooms to huge concert halls."

Tickets to see him perform this week cost £16.75.
