Derren Brown brings illusion and magic to Edinburgh next April

British illusionist Derren Brown, who once famously claimed to have predicted the winning National Lottery balls before the draw had taken place, will be performing a new show in Scotland next year and fans could stay in Edinburgh hostels.

Starting in March next year, Brown's fifth live tour will see him visit the Edinburgh Playhouse for four nights (April 27th to 30th) as he showcases mysteries of the mind.

Brown has been a famous television personality over the last decade, having presented a number of shows in which he sent audiences into a trance and performed magic and mind-reading.

His 2009 Channel 4 series, called The Events, saw Brown explain how he claimed to have guessed the National Lottery numbers.

Chris High, who saw him perform his Enigma tour at the Liverpool Empire Theatre in March this year, wrote that seeing the performer live was one of the highlights of 2010.

He said: "Looking around the auditorium of this sold out theatre, there is not one person who can disagree with statements that it's probably the best ticket they're likely to buy this year and that Derren Brown simply gets better and better."
