Strictly Come Dancing stars waltz their way to Glasgow for live tour

Glasgow hostels will be popular early next year when ballroom dancing, in the shape of The Strictly Come Dancing live tour, will be waltzing its way to the city.

Now into its fourth year, the live event recreates the television show on stage across the UK and will be performed at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre on February 11th.

Some of the current crop of celebrities battling it out on the dance floor, along with ex stars of the show, are lining up to be a part of the live event with Matt Baker, Colin Jackson, Kara Tointon and Tina O'Brien among those to have confirmed their attendance.

Earlier this week, former MP Ann Widdecombe announced that she would be attending and told the live tour's website that she is excited at the prospect of working with judge Craig Revel Horwood.

She said: "I am very much looking forward to dancing with Craig, after all the rude remarks he has made. However, as he is even taller than Anton, the result should be even funnier! Will anyone judge his performance, I wonder?"

Tickets to see Ann Widdecombe and others perform in Glasgow are priced at £46.75.
