The Human League to perform in Edinburgh ahead of album launch

UK electro band The Human League will be touring the country this month to coincide with the release of their new album and fans looking to have a preview of their new work can stay in Edinburgh hostels and head to their gig in the city.

Credo, which will hit the shops on March 21st next year, will be the band's first album release in nearly a decade, while their first single from the record, Night People, was launched last month.

Joanne Catherall, Philip Oakley and Susan Ann Sulley, the three remaining members of the group, will be performing new material, along with older hits, at the HMV Picture House in Edinburgh on December 14th.

Andrew Batten-Foster, who reviewed the band's show in the West Country for bristol247.com, said that the audience enjoyed Oakley's costume changes,

"A wonderful time was had by all and Phil treated us to a new outfit for the encore. This time it was a cross between a boxer’s dressing gown and a monk's habit, with a white cowl that all but hid his face entirely," he wrote.

Tickets for the Edinburgh gig are priced at £25.
