Nerve-jangling adrenaline-fuelled rides feature at the 2011 Glasgow carnival
Adrenaline junkies could book into Glasgow hostels over the next month as Europe's largest indoor funfair makes its way to the city.
The Irn Bru Carnival, an annual event in Scotland's rollercoaster calendar, will be taking place at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) between December 24th and January 16th, giving visitors a selection of 60 rides and attractions.
To celebrate the event's 90th birthday, the entry fee on the opening night has been cut to £9 for 10 rides, making it 90p per ride.
On other nights, prices have been frozen for the fourth year running at £10 for ten rides and this will include access to see an exhibition featuring carnival memorabilia from those years.
Thrill rides include Extreme, which spins people around upside down, and Experience Miami which, according to the event website, will require a "strong stomach" because of its velocity.
The Caffe Ritazza and Gallery Bistro will also be available to keep people fed during the event, which only closes on Christmas Day this year.
