Britain's 'best loved toys' to be exhibited in Glasgow

Tourists that are planning to stay in Glasgow hostels may like to visit an exhibition showcasing some of the UK's best loved toys during their stay.

The Scotland Street School Museum will be holding an exhibition called Toy Stories until May 2nd.

It is free to enter and toys spanning the 20th century will be shown. There is also an exhibition play area, where people of all ages can try out some of the toys or make their own.

George Redmond, chairman of Glasgow Life, told artdaily.org: "Toy Stories is a fascinating reminder of all our childhoods.

"A century of popular toys are on display which should appeal to children of all ages … This is a great chance to see some of the most popular toys of yesteryear."

On January 22nd, toy enthusiasts are invited to drop into the exhibition for Generation Games Fun Day.

Attendees will be able to take part in toy making, adventure games and super-size games.
