Line-up for Glasgow Music and Film Festival announced

Glasgow hostels could be a popular option for those planning to attend this year's Glasgow Music and Film Festival.

Now in its third year, the festival is due to take place between February 17th and 27th in live music venue The Arches.

Headlining the event are Italian progressive rock band Goblin, who are most famous for their work on Dario Argento's horror films.

The List magazine states: "Before horror movie soundtracks became bland metal compilations of corporate synergy, Goblin's Italian prog could be counted on to provide the requisite tone of mania, suspense or plain, old-fashioned evil.

"Their work with legendary giallo director Dario Argento set the bar so high, people don't even bother these days."

Although the full line-up for the event is yet to be announced, other acts confirmed at the festival are Zombie Zombie and 65 Days of Static.

The festival is co-organised by The Arches and the Glasgow Film Theatre.
