Paul Weller reschedules Newcastle shows

Newcastle hostels could be a good option for people heading to the city for one of Paul Weller's rescheduled gigs.

The former Jam frontman had to cancel a number of his shows, including ones in Newcastle, because of the heavy snowfall experienced in December.

However, these dates have now been rescheduled, with Weller heading to Newcastle on February 4th.

Fans who had tickets for the December shows have been told their tickets are still valid.

The 52-year-old, known as the Modfather by his fans, began his musical career in the Jam in 1976, after which he moved onto the Style Council in 1983.

Weller established himself as a solo artist in 1991 and in 2009 he won the BRIT award for Best Male Solo Artist.

In September last year, the Changing Man singer married Hannah Andrews, who was a backing singer on his 22 Dreams album, and won the NME Godlike Genius award.

Tracks Paul Weller fans may hear at the Newcastle gig include ones those from Wake Up the Nation, the album he released last year.
