Newcastle set for 'A World of Cracking Ideas'

Those planning to stay in Newcastle hostels may like to check out a new exhibition about innovations.

Wallace & Gromit Present ... A World of Cracking Ideas is due to open on April 16th in the Glasgow Science Centre and will run until October 30th.

Over 365,000 people have already attended the exhibition while it was on show in London and Glasgow.

Intellectual property minister Baroness Wilcox said: "I am delighted to see the exhibition going to Newcastle. Cracking Ideas has thrilled and inspired youngsters in London and Glasgow - I'm sure it will do the same in the North East.

"This is a great way to help our future business leaders gain an understanding of copyright, patents and trade marks."

The exhibition focuses on how innovation contributes to everyday life, while looking more closely at some fascinating inventions from our history.

It also gives young innovators tips about how to protect their ideas using intellectual property, such as trade marks, patents, design and copyright.
