Craig Murray-Orr set for Edinburgh exhibition
Edinburgh hostels could be an option for art fans interested in attending a new Craig Murray-Orr exhibition.
The Ingelby Gallery is set to host the exhibition, which is due to open on February 11th and run until March 26th.
It has been almost ten years since Mr Murray-Orr's last exhibition, and the new show is a collection of twenty small landscape paintings, which will be shown alongside large-scale sculptural works.
The most recent piece in the exhibition is a wall-mounted sculpture based on seven sheaves of grass that are bending in the wind.
Describing his work, the artist said: "The work is nowhere specific. I spend time in desolate places to feed my soul not to sketch or take notes, and the paintings are visions of land formed by volcanoes, earthquakes, sediment, heat, cold, wind and water - not man. They are pure and potentially dangerous."
Mr Murray-Orr was born in 1942 on New Zealand's North Island.
