British Art Show heading to Glasgow

Those planning to visit the British Art Show could stay in hostels in Glasgow, as the exhibit is heading to the city later this year.

The exhibit, which is staged once every five years, opens on May 28th in three galleries - Glasgow Centre for Contemporary Art, Gallery of Modern Art and Tramway.

It will run until August 21st. It is considered to be the most ambitious and influential exhibition of contemporary British art.

Lisa Le Feuvre and Tom Morton, curators of the British Art Show, worked together to seek out the most significant contributors to contemporary art, reports the Guardian

Ms Le Feuvre told the news provider: "We very much wanted this to be 'an exhibition' rather than a survey.

"In the past some of the British Art Shows have tried to identify a movement or a trend and we feel really strongly that when you're doing something in the moment that it's happening, you can't do that, it's impossible."
