Winter exhibition at Newcastle's Biscuit Factory ending

Art fans who are about to stay in hostels in Newcastle may want to consider attending an exhibition about winter before the seasons change.

Winter at the Biscuit Factory is due to end on March 6th, having opened in November last year.

Over the past few months, the gallery has featured a number of artists, including Mark Sofilas, Georgina McMaster and ceramicist Lisa Ellul.

Through Anthony Marshall's Home and Away exhibition and Malcolm Teesdale's Miners in the Corner Gallery, the collection celebrated the works of two local artists.

According to journallive.co.uk, the gallery is now getting set for its annual Spring Exhibition, which will run from March 11th until June 5th.

In the Corner Gallery will be local artist Emma Holliday, whose exhibit has been named Four Blues and features a series of cityscapes and some smaller interiors of places in the north east of England.

On February 19th, the Biscuit Gallery is set to host an art auction in aid of the Newcastle upon Tyne NHS Foundation Trust.
