James Blake set for Glasgow gig
James Blake fans could consider staying in Glasgow hostels when the musician plays in the city in March.
The British electronic composer will be playing in Nice and Sleazy on March 27th.
Blake released his self-titled debut album on February 7th and at the beginning of January he was announced as a runner up of the BBC's Sound of 2011, an annual poll that highlights the musicians that are likely to become successful in the coming year.
A review of Blake's album by Alexis Petridis for the Guardian said that it was "what modern pop needs".
He wrote: "It is unsettling and strange. You hesitate to call it difficult for fear of encouraging the kind of character who dismisses anyone who listens to anything other than Merzbow and free jazz, but Unluck offers immediate proof that Blake is, by some considerable distance, the most experimental artist in recent memory to make the annual hotly tipped lists."
Mr Petridis added that the album leaves you feeling charmed and confused with little idea as to what will happen next.
