Grease set for Edinburgh stage

Fans of the 1978 film Grease may like to stay in Edinburgh hostels after seeing the musical that the movie was based on performed in the city.

Grease will be performed in the Edinburgh Playhouse on various dates between May 6th and May 21st. Tickets for the show are priced between £12 and £37.50.

A statement from the theatre said: " Dust off your jackets, pull on your bobby-socks and get ready for the most fun filled, high octane Rock'n'Roll party of the year."

Those attending the Edinburgh performance will enjoy classic hits from the film including You're The One That I Want, Grease Is The Word, Summer Nights and Hopelessly Devoted To You.

The much-loved film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John was based on the musical, which first hit the stage in 1971.

Grease tells the tale of ten students at Rydell High School as they navigate their way through their last year at school.
