Lykke Li to play in Glasogw

Lykke Li fans may be interested in booking city centre accommodation in Glasgow soon as the Swedish songstress is set to play in the city.

The singer will be performing in The Arches on April 18th. Tickets for the event cost £12.50 excluding booking fee.

Lykke Li, whose full name is Li Lykke Timotej Zachrisson, will be playing tracks from her debut album Youth Novels and her latest release Wounded Rhymes, which she recorded in Los Angeles last year.

The 25-year-old released Wounded Rhymes in Sweden on March 2nd and it was met with mass critical success.

In an interview with the Guardian, Lykke Li spoke about what it was like recording the new album.

She told the news provider: "It's easy to make a dark album. I love pouring my heart out. People don't want to hear you whine when you're with friends, so you can sing about it instead - it's the best outlet."
