BB King to perform in Edinburgh

BB King fans may be in need of city centre accommodation in Edinburgh as the blues guitarist is set to play in the city.

On June 26th, King will be playing at the Edinburgh Playhouse. Tickets for the event cost between £33.50 and £49.50 excluding the booking fee.

The Edinburgh concert is one of just three dates the music legend will be playing and the performances will mark King's first UK appearances in two years.

Joining King for all three shows will be singer/songwriter and pianist Avery Sunshine, who is getting set to release her first album.

Those attending the concert may hear classic tracks from King's extensive back collection, such as Woke Up this Morning with a Bellyache and The Thrill is Gone.

BB King was born in Mississippi in 1925. He purchased his first guitar at the age of 12 for $15 (£9.30).

Rolling Stone ranked him as the third in the magazine's list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time.
